Vancouver Amateur Musicians Association is a non-profit organization that connects and inspires amateur musicians to follow their passion in music through:- Building a community of amateur musicians to share active musical experiences- Providing resources to enable our members to explore their musical potential- Organizing performance opportunities and musical eventsVAMA's debut concert in January 2019 received great compliments and support from our communities. Our musicians are working and retired professionals from different backgrounds, including a Dentist, University Professor, Engineer, Software Developer, Charted Professional Accountant, Astrophysicist, Aviation Consultant, Mathematician, MP Candidate, Business Owner, and TV Host. VAMA is a membership-based organization and we accept members with experience in all music levels, genres, and instruments. VAMA defines Amateur Musicians as individuals who do not receive major financial benefits from performing or teaching music.Our organizational goals include:- Adapt and accommodate to members' specific musical goals- Create a musical network for members to connect- Enrich musical diversity through connecting musicians from all music genres - Learn and discover the unique voices of all music instruments- Partner with other music organizations to share music talents- Raise awareness for good causes through musical performances- Inspire life-long enjoyment in playing music How to support VAMA?DonateVAMA relies on charitable donations to help enrich and support our amateur musicians through music.
