During the summer of 2016, the VEC teachers were on strike for an extended period of time. Unfortunately, the school did not survive the strike and is now insolvent. This profile is temporarily being preserved for reference purposes. _ _ _ Vancouver English Centre offers various English courses in downtown Vancouver, Canada. Our English Grammar and Communication courses are divided into 15 individual levels, so we can help students of all English language abilities. At VEC, students can improve their IELTS, TOEFL, and TOEIC scores quickly, with our test preparation courses. VEC is a test site for TOEFL and TOEIC. Many of our students are permanent residents of the Vancouver area. Our popular Juniors (Vacation Study) Program allows students to explore Vancouver while learning English. We offer classes for families, where children and adults can improve their English all together in the same place! Located in the trendy Yaletown district of downtown Vancouver, our campus is large, modern and well equipped, with 47 classrooms and five computer labs. Our homestay program enables students to enjoy complete English immersion with multicultural Canadian host families in the Vancouver Mainland area. If students prefer, we can also arrange accommodation in apartments, hotels or student residences. After school, our students enjoy our social, sports and sightseeing activities. At VEC, we have activities every day. Established in 1993, VEC has trained over 55,000 students. VEC is a Designated Learning Institution and a Member of Languages Canada.
