Men's Fashion Week - Vancouver* is produced by Ramos & Fortier Ltd.Ramos & Fortier Ltd. is a Canadian company focused on men's apparel based in Vancouver, BC. One of the company's goals is to support sustainability and advance discoveries in textile and apparel-related material technology. With the average Canadian throwing 15 lbs of textile waste annually and Americans throwing about 68 lbs(1), "fast fashion" is a problem we cannot ignore. Fashion is now the second most polluting industry, second only to oil and gas(2), adding millions of tons of wastes into our landfills annually. We need to look at ourselves, our behaviour, and come up with a viable solution - soon. The company is currently in collaboration with the Faculty of Textile Engineering of the Technical University of Liberec of the Czech Republic to develop an training centre in Vancouver, BC. This educational centre aims to offer short courses on Textile Engineering, Woven, Non-woven and Nanomaterials. The company is honoured to be hosting a media and exhibit event in London at the High Commission of Canada in the United Kingdom. The aim of the event is to showcase the next generation of Canadian designers and the works of the company to tackle current environmental issues (TBA).------------------------------Contact:Address: MFW / Ramos & Fortier, Ltd.World Trade Centre999 Canada Place, Suite 404Vancouver, BC V6C 3E2Email:services@ramos-fortier.com
