After a decade of working in New York City for a variety of commercial clientele and stock agency houses, Shannon Fagan's business relocated to Beijing in 2011 to enhance the global market with a unique and authentic Chinese lifestyle content offering. 10,000 images later, in top-level industry image partner contracts with Getty Images, iStockphoto, Shutterstock, and 30 others, together with work for General Electric, Microsoft, and Ernst & Young; a production foundation in China was solidified. Though it may sound concise, it was in no way easy! In a similar vein, Shannon and his team are tackling Vancouver as a next step in this storyline…making new friends and trying new locations…to cover the gaps of content missed by six years of living abroad. Shannon is originally from Memphis (let's NOT talk about those Grizzlies…okay?!) and used to shoot productions in Vancouver quite frequently from 2006 – 2009. He's super excited to return to what he considers to be his second North American home and experience the same high rents that once drove him outta New York. Our team uses real people as models, as part of the never-ending request from ad agencies and design firms to make imagery look more authentic and more contemporary in visual aesthetic. The locations that we use are garnered in trade, with models handpicked from the local community. The ideas are supplied to us by the stock agencies and their global clientele; and sometimes by you! Doing what we do, uniquely, and at times certainly oddly, the business was profiled at TEDx Peking University. Looking forward to meeting you!
