The Variable Scoop is a private independent consulting firm. We create mission-driven plans and transformational systems for data collection, management, and evaluation to advance social justice, support social change, and end human suffering.Every day millions of people do things to make life better for other people. Our goal is to facilitate a transformational change process by helping people and organizations understand and utilize their data in a way that support the movement of their mission. Our services include:Strategic planning | Data Strategy | Evaluation and Impact AnalysisWe take a creative participatory approach using evidence-based frameworks from anthropology, sociology, public policy and public health to meet the capacity of the community or the program. Examples of our favorite frameworks are appreciative inquiry, collective impact, critical theory intersectionality, or photovoice.We believe transformation is possible and we love the opportunity to support the work of coalitions, NGOs/nonprofits and social entrepreneurs as they work to end human suffering.
