Vaxtrac's mission is to provide developing countries with the technologies and services they need to maximize the effectiveness of their vaccination programs. VaxTrac envisions a world where every child, regardless of circumstances, has equal access to life-saving vaccines. OUR STORY- Vaxtrac works in developing countries where conditions can be challenging, technology is limited, and child mortality, especially under five years old, is prominent. We work alongside local health workers and government ministries to design real solutions to these health care needs. Vaxtrac started in 2009, and has launched projects in countries, including: India, Nepal, and Benin. We continue to expand our reach to new countries in Asia and Africa with the help of our International partner organizations such as WHO, CDC and UNICEF.THE CHALLENGE- Today, one in five of all children who die before age five are victims from vaccine-preventable diseases, and every year more than 22 million children go unimmunized in the world. Vaccines are the most cost effective ways to save lives and even a minimal efficiency improvement can have a major impact.OUR SOLUTION- We are partnering with Ministries of Health and other key public health stakeholders to develop a more effective vaccine-delivery system. Using simple technologies, we're able to digitize child immunization records at both local and national levels. Our biometric-based mobile vaccine registry can help prevent redundant vaccinations and improve schedule adherence, which reduces waste and ensures that every child is receiving the correct vaccines. Each individual health record is linked to a unique identifier that is created from scanning the child's fingerprint. These records can be shared with other clinics using the system, as well accessed at the national level to inform policy and system design. For more information, please visit us at www.vaxtrac.comFor questions and comments, contact info@vaxtrac.com
