Our two founders, Adam and Ben MacKenzie, have over a decade of combined experience in the A/E/C industry as both practicing Professional Engineers and partners Budget Blinds, bringing experience in design and construction to bring new light to the shading industry.Shading systems have transformed - nearly overnight - from a simple manually-controlled device to a fully automated solar-tracking daylight control system. This rapid increase in complexity has created a new role in building design and delivery: the shading design consultant. We are your partner in translating an owner's vision into a functioning and properly integrated shading system that increases occupant well-being, reduces mechanical system sizing, cooperates with lighting systems, and provides new depth to the advantages of life-safety and security tie-ins.
