VENT is a community-based learning platform featuring short video clips created exclusively by teens for teens in subject matters learned at school such as social studies, sciences, math, and language art. Teens today use technology to study and interact with each other, and most aspects of their lives are mediated by digital technologies. This has created a need for a different learning pace and new teaching methods that compliment traditional educational methods. Our goal is to create one virtual, global classroom designed exclusively for teens. While most education-centered sharing sites offers learning from adults, we would like to create the first global classroom designed exclusively for teens, based on the "teens teaching teens" model,where teenagers can pool their knowledge and resources to create a world of self-promoted learning.
