They are used to add via aspiration industrial gases into liquids from an external source, e.g. Pure Oxygen or Carbon Dioxide. In water applications they are used in algae control, non-chmeical pH control, and enhancing taste and reducing odors from sulfides, as well as destratification of tanks, lakes and reservoirs.VAI also make an innovative "Vortex Accelerator," a device that removes soluble gases from liquids to non-chemically adjust pH.
