Verdant Minerals Ltd, formerly Rum Jungle Resources Limited, is engaged in the exploration and evaluation of fertilizer minerals (in particular phosphate and sulfate of potash). The Company is engaged in the exploration of other minerals in northern and central Australia. It has a portfolio of projects that includes the flagstaff Ammaroo Phosphate Project, which is >1 Billion tonnes of Phosphate (P2O5) resource, the largest JORC compliant phosphate resource in Australia and one of the largest undeveloped phosphate resources in the world. The Karinga Lakes Project covers a chain of dry salt lakes along the Lasseter Highway between Alice Springs and Uluru. The current estimated JORC (2012) mineral resource estimate for the Karinga Project is 8.4 million tonnes of K2SO4 at an average grade of 4.76 grams/litre K and cut-off of 3 grams/litre K. Patanella Project is a rock phosphate deposit on the opposite side of the Georgina Basin from Verdant Minerals' flagship Northern Territory Ammaroo Resource. Patanella is 265km northeast of Alice Springs. The Dingo Hole project is targeting potentially high-purity silica quartz rock (not silica sand). The title is contiguous with and north of the Ammaroo phosphate project. Six contiguous ELs applications cover all of Lake Amadeus in the NT. The applications include 1,010km2 of lake area along a 130km length. The eastern boundary is contiguous with the Karinga Lakes Project.
