As of January 1, 2014, Verinata Health has become part of the Reproductive and Genetic Health business unit under the Illumina parent company. As such, the Verinata Health name has changed to Illumina. The realignment of Verinata Health's business under the Illumina brand name is part of a larger strategy to deliver comprehensive and integrated solutions to our customers serving the reproductive and genetic health market. This realignment will allow the company to more effectively focus their efforts on providing targeted products and services to meet the current and emerging needs of our community. Illumina is already the established leader in the development and commercialization of core sequencing technologies that are fueling the delivery of most non-invasive prenatal tests, and Illumina is committed to expanding its portfolio of offerings in the reproductive and genetic health area. Rest assured that while the name and look of some of the business components may change to Illumina, the underlying verifi® prenatal test services remains the same.
