Verity is the UK's only charity for women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and provides information and support for women with PCOS and their loved ones. Verity was founded in 1997 and is managed entirely by a team of volunteers.The charity runs regular conferences where delegates get the chance to hear from some of the UK's leading PCOS experts, in addition to publishing a range of information booklets covering all aspects of the condition. In March and September every year, Verity publishes In Touch, a member newsletter full of the latest information and research on PCOS.Through a very active discussion board and locally based support groups, Verity helps share the truth about PCOS and provides an outlet for women to give and receive valuable peer support and advice.Verity also provides advocacy, awareness and education to the healthcare profession through PCOS UK, Verity's medical education arm that was established in January 2005.
