Investment Bank/Securities Brokerage - N/A, N/A, UK
Founded in 2014 by James Rowsell and Tim Gregory, Vermeer Investment Management launched its first fund, the Vermeer Global Fund, in December 2016. This is the first in a series of fund launches to develop Vermeer into a broad based asset management company. Vermeer draws on the founders collective experience of over 60 years in the industry in both fund management and investment research. Vermeer believes that there is a significant amount of high quality research provided by the finance industry that the company can access. Vermeer is solely focussed on fund management and outsources most administrative functions. The Vermeer Global Fund is a long only UCITS ICAV, investing in global equities. The fund has no market cap, country or sector limits. The fund employs an 80/20 strategy, with 80% of the fund invested in long term growth stocks, and the remaining 20% available to use when specific opportunities arise. The fund targets between 30 and 60 stocks with a strong focus on macroeconomic themes and stock selection is driven by quality, strong cash flow and management and we look for companies with a strong competitive advantage in their market.
