The Verrill Farm Stable was established in 1970 by the Verrill family and trainer, Alyce McNeil. It is located at the end of Wheeler Road, just past the Verrill Farm Stand. It is one of the oldest and most established stables in the Boston area. We are a fully licensed boarding and teaching facility. All of our instructors are state-licensed. Verrill Farm is a working farm with over 100 acres of cultivated fields and pastureland. Many trails are nearby and accessible to horses. In addition to the barns, the Stable maintains two outdoor rings, including a dressage ring, and an indoor riding facility. We run a thriving teaching program. Our goal is to provide safe and excellent instruction in equitation, jumping and dressage to both adults and children. Children are invited to join our program at the age of 7. We teach all levels of riding—from beginner to advanced levels. We are a hands-on riding program. In addition to the teaching program, Verrill Farm Stable is host to the Concord Equestrian Team, founded by Alyce McNeil in 2004. The team, comprised of middle and high-school riders, has competed successfully for several seasons in Zone 1 and has qualified for the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) Horse show.
