Vessi discovered her enthusiasm for photography after making a pinhole camera at the age of 14, just after moving to the United States from Bulgaria. Soon after, she began shooting with a Nikon FM10 SLR (manual focus film camera), which she still has and pulls off the shelf from time to time. Her multicultural background and dedication to travel has helped shape her visual expression and view on life. Her work has often been described as having a romantic feel. She undeniably creates images that seem to glow and come forward with a sense of effortless elegance. Her work possesses a clean simplicity that isn't afraid to be bold. She strives to surround herself with beauty and sees all facets of life as a possibility for artistic expression. Vessi is constantly reinventing herself, her spaces, and her creative perspective. She is a professionally trained artist holding a BA in Studio Arts & a BS in Art Direction from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
