Veteran Scholarships Forever (VSF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is helping veterans transition back to civilian life quickly and successfully. The key to making this transition is getting a good, rewarding job that will enable a veteran to provide for his/her family. Many veterans are struggling to find good jobs because it can be difficult to translate their military experience into the skill sets that local businesses want. That is why some additional education and training is needed--this is the focus of VSF. We are working with the state community and technical colleges to provide certified vocational and skilled trades training to veterans and their spouses. This type of training is normally short in duration and leads to immediate employment. Military service develops the character traits that all business owners want, i.e. solid work ethic, responsibility, self-discipline, teamwork oriented, loyalty....and the list goes on and on! This makes veterans a perfect fit for today's team-oriented work environment. With a little hands-on vocational training, veterans can integrate into the civilian workforce quickly. VSF establishes scholarship funds at participating colleges for certification training that is not covered by other financial aid programs.
