It is well-known that the human ear can decipher sounds ranging from 30-20,000Hz. It is therefore within this exact range that every track from any genre is created. This range of frequency can be fine-tuned with the use of an equalizer. An equalizer can boost, lower, or even cut out some specific frequencies entirely in a track. For example, in order for the drums to sound clear and have more punch, the lower frequencies of the main melody are usually decreased or cut out using a "high-pass filter" to avoid overlap and a muddy sound. This high-pass filter does just what it sounds like - only allowing high frequency sounds through. The same happens with the Vibe-Pass filter.
