Cuban American fashion designer Victoria Lopez Castro is the creative force behind her haute couture line. It produces a fresh, classical-modern approach to dressing that affords women a sense of style and individuality. Timeless elegant design, luxurious fabrics, and a high standard for detail and quality is the modus operandi.Born and raised in Miami Florida, Victoria was influenced by her very stylish and elegant mother growing up. "She taught me to think outside of the box when it came to wearing clothes". Mrs. Lopez Castro is a graduate of Miami International University with a degree in fine arts and fashion merchandising. Being an exemplary creative design student, she was awarded the Max L. Cohen award for "Best Fashion Designer" upon graduation.Mrs. Lopez Castro has been involved in many aspects of the fashion industry. She has worked with several international leading fashion houses including Carolina Herrera in New York City. In 1992, Victoria launched her first fall collection in New York.In her salon, beautiful cocktail dresses and exquisite gowns are displayed alongside with her unique bridal collection marking a stamp of distinction in her designs. Custom design dresses are available upon request. "I believe that a good cut and an exceptional fabric is all there is to a beautiful dress," states Victoria, "and I try to abide by that philosophy with each of my designs."Victoria's designs have either graced the covers or have been included in international fashion publications such as Italian Vogue, W, Harper's Bazaar, Vanidades, Vogue en Espanol, Women's Wear Daily, Miami Herald, and El Nuevo Herald to name a few. Victoria's designs have been worn by the international social elite, high profile women in the community, and ladies that are enchanted by her designs. Besides her A list of private clientele, her collection has been sold in the past at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Nordstrom, as well as boutiques throughout the nation.
