Opened in June of 1930 by their grandfather, the Vidler family has continuously owned and operated this landmark store with the 3rd generation now running the business on a daily basis.The largest five and dime variety store in the world with 2 levels occupying four, connected 19th century buildings and over 16,000 sq. feet of selling space, our many counters and shelves overflow with a wide variety of merchandise. From nostalgic candy, novelty toys and kitchen gadgets to the newest items for the recreational shopper, one can spend hours discovering unique items.Take a trip down memory lane as you stroll down on our original wooden floors, eat a .10 cent bag of popcorn and hear the delighted laughter of kids taking a .10 cent ride on Sandy, our mechanical horse.
