Viennese Opera Ball Details
Long considered the most prestigious Viennese Opera Ball outside of Vienna, the VOB is a nonprofit association held annually to benefit other worthy nonprofit institutions. The beneficiary of the 2014 VOB is Carnegie Hall, which has a rich history of more than 120 years of concerts featuring Viennese artists and works by Viennese composers, and will serve as the first cultural venue in Carnegie Hall's 2014 "Vienna Festival: City of Dreams." Debutantes, Diplomats and Dignitaries "Open" the international Ball. Peter Duchin and his Orchestra provide a broad range of music throughout the formal Ball, which runs from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. and includes a four-course dinner service. The "Tanz Bar" (post-Ball party) runs from 1:00 to 4:00 a.m. and includes a buffet supper, with its Signature Goulash Soup, as well as multiple venues: Jazz Band, Dance Band, DJ, and Vienna Coffee House.
