CASA Kids provides funding for goods & services to children in the foster care system. and helps support Vigo County CASA in their mission to provide abused & neglected children with a well-trained court appointed volunteer advocate. CASA volunteers ensure the judge knows a child's needs & wishes, submit recommendations and advocate for their best interest. A CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate), stands up for kids who are involved with the juvenile court system due to neglect, abuse or abandonment. CASAs are specially trained community volunteers who undergo 30 hours of initial training and 12 annual in-service training hours. CASA volunteers are a powerful voice for powerless children!
