Mr. Dalbir S. Vilkhu, the founder & Managing Director of the company, founded Vilkhu Corporation (VC) on 1st April 2000. After completing various government formalities, which included Sales Tax, Drug License and Import-Export registration, Vilkhu Corporation commenced its trading business from 16th June 2000. Vilkhu Corporation was converted into a limited liability incorporated company on 19th July 2003 and renamed as Vilkhu Life Sciences Private Limited. VLS is a registered contractor with The Office of Directorate General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, for the supply of medical products to all defence hospitals through-out the country. Vilkhu Life Sciences today stands as the biggest distributor of Johnson & Johnson Medical devices to defence hospitals representing various Johnson & Johnson companies viz: DePuy-Synthes Joint, DePuy-Synthes- Spine, Codman Neurovascular, Codman Neuro Surgery, Ethicon-Sutures, Endo-Ethicon, Ethicon Biosurgery & ASP. Apart from Johnson & Johnson, VLS also distribute Cardinal-Cordis, Imaging Products-Bracco (Italy) contrast medium product, Cochlear Ltd, Australia for Cochlear and BAHA products and Wolters Kluwer for UpToDate range of solutions to defence hospitals across India. As of date Vilkhu Life Sciences is one of the top three medical device distributors in Delhi's Army Hospital (R&R). VLS holds a strong work foundation as, the process of dealings is facilitated by a methodology that involves a holistic and in-depth understanding of the complex system of defence procurement in India.
