The first concept of the Monica's group, Vinoteca di Monica moved to its larger location at 143 Richmond Street in 1998. Monica's Vinoteca is owned and operated by the Mendoza Iturralde Family. Chef/Owner Jorge Mendoza Iturralde grew up in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He established his passion for food and learned his ancestral recipes during his childhood, where Jorge spent most of his time on a stool in his kitchen listening as his mother, Monica, instructed her friends on her families Italian recipes. Vinoteca di Monica is an authentic Italian restaurant in the heart of the North End. With a cozy 65 seat candlelight dinning room, exposed brick walls and original family artwork, Monica's Vinoteca offers casual elegance, homemade specialties made from top quality ingredients and an award winning wine selection.
