For nearly more than thirty-five years, Wilfred H. Violette, originally from Saint-Léonard was one of the most important businessman in north-western New Brunswick. The names International Harvester, McCormick and Deering appeared on the Farmall tractors of which the golden years were between 1924 and 1954. Wilfred Violette earned the title of Canada's Top Tractor Salesman from the International Harvester Company in 1952. For three consecutive years, the Ford Company gave him The Dealer Distinguished Achievement Award, recognizing his ability and accomplishments as a salesperson. Fred Violette also received the Truck Leadership Award given to the representative having sold the most trucks in the Grand Falls area. Furthermore, Mr. Violette was a great benefactor of religious, community and social organisations. In 1980, Robert Violette, Fred's son, opened the doors of Violette Ford Inc. in Grand Falls, selling Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. In 2016, the family business stayed with-in good hands. With a strong succession, Michel Violette purchased Violette Ford inc. With his son's, François, Marc and Robin.
