Enabling Security, Privacy and Control in the Social WebThe ability to share content privately is being eroded by Facebook and other social media sites. Users have little or no control once their content is uploaded to Facebook and their content is entering the public domain by default. Existing privacy options are confusing and do not give users the freedom to control access and ownership of their content.VIP Room provides the user a secure virtual space in which users of Facebook can store personal photos, videos and other files. A user can invite any Friend into his VIP Room to share content stored there without exposing that content to anyone else - including Facebook or search engines. The VIP Room eliminates the worry that content a user shares with Facebook Friends - whether it's about his social life, his work or his family - will be seen by people for whom it is not intended. The user has complete control over the access and ownership of his content and controls who sees it, and when it should be deleted.A user may create and store content into as many individual VIP Rooms as he wishes, each with a different access list. He can add or delete content and add or remove Friends from the access list at any time. The default access is nobody instead of everybody as you find in other social media applications.Each VIP Room is more than a storage location for private content; it is a private social gathering spot for the user and their friends.
