UVC light has been used extensively for more than 40 years to disinfect drinking water, wastewater, air, pharmaceutical products, and surfaces of a whole suite of human pathogens. All bacteria and viruses tested to date (many hundreds over the years, including other coronaviruses) respond to UV disinfection. Some organisms are more susceptible to UVC disinfection than others, but all tested to date respond at the appropriate doses.Viruclean USA developed The Virunator, a UV-C-emitting device that uses UV light sterilization to kill 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, mold, and mites.
