Anywhere.™ Virtual Pro Athlete™ (VPA) is a virtual training platform that builds athletic performance and sport-specific skills. At VPA our mantra is: Train like a Pro. Virtually. Anywhere.™ If you commit to training, you will develop athleticism and skills, and ultimately build confidence as individuals, teammates, competitors in sport, and in life.In the spring of 2020, a AA hockey coach and his team of professional coaches developed a program for the team to stay engaged, and to keep training and developing (virtually). It soon became clear virtual training solved several problems (that existed before 2020): Sports are taking more time and budget from families (and teams) each year; and coaches don't have time to focus on athletic or core skill development. Today, Virtual Pro Athlete™ has established 3 proven programs that are being accessed by youth athletes across Canada:• VPA PERFORMANCE TRAINING (All Sports): Build agility, strength, power, and conditioning, with a progression toward High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). • VPA SKILLS TRAINING (Hockey): Progression of static and dynamic stickhandling drills, as well as integrating stickhandling and shooting mechanics drills.• VPA GOALIE TRAINING (Hockey): Addresses the mental and physical aspects of goaltending –flexibility/hip mobility; strength/power and agility; hand-eye coordination/reaction speed, and much more.Accessed from the convenience of ‘anywhere', athletes TRAIN with ‘live correction and feedback' from professionals, so they know what to do, how to do it, or how not to do it. Self-directed learning happens after training sessions when athletes are given additional exercises/drills to further DEVELOP. Closing the learning process is putting all the learning to work, in games when athletes COMPETE.We look forward to training with your athlete!
