Visconti Fine Art was established in 1973 in Milan, Italy and then moved to Ljubljana, Slovenia in 1991, where it became the first privately owned gallery. Visconti Fine Art (Galerija Mestni Trg d.o.o.) can be found at a new location right in the old centre district of Ljubljana at Mestni Trg 18. It is a family owned and run business. From the begginning the gallery has been very active in the editorial field and edited many graphic editions by important contemporary artists (e.g. Andy Warhol, James Rosenquist, Cy Twombly, Mimmo Paladino, Henry Moore, Luigi Veronesi, Gabrijel Stupica, Vladimir Veličković, Miodrag Djurić-DADO, IRWIN, Safet Zec and Dušan Džamonja). In addition to this, the gallery has participated at many art fairs around the world, including Art Paris, Art Madrid, Art Basel, London Print Fair, Art Wien and Verona Art Fair. Our main aim now is to present the best artists and their work to the public and to promote young and contemporary Slovenian, and ex-yu artists to the foreign public. In addition to this, the gallery also organises its exhibitions abroad (ex-Yu, Italy, etc.), in collaboration with various other galleries, institutions and museums.
