Mission Statement:To provide the youth of Greater Cleveland the opportunity to explore and discover their highest potential through education, recreation and community outreach.The Vision of Angels Youth Foundation is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that was established in 2009 by a gentleman named Sears Mitchell, a completely blind individual who had a vision of change for the city of Cleveland. He started the organization with a group of friends which blossomed into the productive and sustainable organization it is today. The mission of the organization is to provide the youth of Greater Cleveland the opportunity to explore and discover their highest potential through education, recreation and community outreach. Over the past five years we have been able to accommodate and support over 200 children from and around the Cleveland area. We have a dedicated team and the necessary experience to make a difference in our communityCompared to youth across the nation and throughout the state of Ohio, the children living in or around the Cleveland area, on average are amongst the poorest outcome in school achievement and graduation rates, highest risk of pregnancy, highest unemployment rate, and highest rate of youth committed crimes. The primary goal of the Vision of Angels Youth Foundation is to make a significant impact in the Greater City of Cleveland in these respective areas. Over the past five years the children that have been involved in our programs have shown significant strides of improvement in each of these statistical categories. These goals were achieved through offering arts and cultural, recreational and community outreach programs which were designed to improve physical, social and artistic development
