The Vision Zero Youth Council (VZYC) was created in 2014 in New York City. After being active in the United States for over five years, the VZYC gained its first international chapter in Rwanda In February of 2020. In June of 2020, our chapter was created as the first European chapter.Our organisation is dedicated to educating youth on traffic safety statistics and conditions in their respective communities, and across the world. We work to empower youth to speak up and have their voices heard. Our main goal is to create partnerships with schools, other organisations, and government officials so no more people - especially children - die because of unsafe roads.
