Viveon is the Academic Collaborative Center of 's Heeren Loo and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. About 25 research scientist-practitioners are active.Viveon contributes to the development and context of people with intellectual disability, striving towards a good life. We do research and develop knowledge products for the triangle of person with disability, family, and professionals. Research is embedded in practice. We join with other engaged parties in discovering, studying, and developing knowledge questions and practical tools. This contributes to a favorable environment for people with intellectual disability to grow up and live. Projects need to contribute to sensible care: care should have a plausible positive effect on the lives of persons with disabilities, their families, and professionals. Projects result from co-creation with stakeholders from practice and research.
