Financial literacy and business analytic tools are proven to be an effective method of increasing revenue and maximizing profit the world over. However, the low literacy levels, poor access to technology, poor documentation and exclusion by financial institutions have made this extremely difficult for the farmers. The Vocoa team have decided to develop a voice based book keeping application for small holder cocoa farmers. It serves as a business tool to enable famers keep track of their businesses and income, set profit goals, receive business tips and receive relevant financial insights, using an intuitive and familiar voice interface accessible in their local languages.
