Voice2CAD is a software solution that was designed by a draftsman for draftsmen. However, it can be used with any command driven software. Voice2CAD uses speech recognition to automatically type out dimensions, type out material types, run complex macros, open files or folders, or run commands within a software simply by saying them. Voice2CAD will only listen for commands that you have created and will not start typing out everything you say like most speech recognition software. Voice2CAD has templates set up for SDS/2 and Autocad and we are currently creating more as we get access to more drafting software. These templates make all commands within each software voice activated and greatly reduces time spent pressing shortcut keys or digging through menus to find what you need. Now you can simply say the command and Voice2CAD quickly executes it. Since Voice2CAD gets all of its command information from excel, the user has the ability to quickly and easily create or edit commands. The user is also able to easily setup voice activated macros to execute repetitive command sequences and since the templates are in excel, they can easily be shared within the Voice2CAD community. Voice2CAD was created for users who are suffering from or wanting to prevent repetitive stress injuries. During testing, we found that Voice2CAD actually increases the user's accuracy, speed and workflow.
