Volagi Cycles was started in 2010 by Robert Choi and Barley Forsman to fill the need in the cycling industry to provide comfortable, but still high performance, endurance-road bikes. Noticing a huge failure by major bike manufacturers to address the needs of every day cycling enthusiasts, Robert and Barley teamed up to create our first model, the Liscio. The Liscio employed a carbon fiber frame, engineered with our patented Longbow Flex Stay system, to isolate the rider from both large impacts and minute road vibrations. The frame was also the first performance driven bicycle frame to come as disc-brake only, as Robert and Barley both saw the performance and control benefits inherent to the powerful disc brakes already popular among the mountain bike crowd. Our line has now expanded to three distinct models. The Liscio II, our flagship design, has been updated with modern wheel spacing standards, internal cable and brake line routing, and a stiffer BB junction. The Viaje Ti, our Titanium Gravel Grinder specialist, and the Viaje XL, its Steel counterpart. As well as four wheel models and our own endurance saddle design.
