Vyir Inc (pronounced "Vye-er") is a high-tech startup located in New York City that was incorporated to develop an Optical Infrared Camera (O-IR) utilizing our proprietary Encoater™ technology and integrated device design. O-IR is a device that encodes internal visible light with the information contained in an IR image so that it can be "seen" using an off-the-shelf, silicon visible camera. Our method of accomplishing this utilizes our Encoater™ technology, which is a proprietary thin-film dielectric coating composed of a stack of near-critical angle, anti-reflection coatings (NCA-ARC). These layers function as spatial (θ) and spectral (λ) filters for internal visible light incident near the critical angle. When stacked and structured, this creates the IR sensitive effect that is utilized in our camera. O-IR cameras have small pixel size and high density, enabling diffraction limited imaging. This significantly reduces Cost, Size, Weight, and Power (C-SWaP) while simultaneously improving performance, resulting in extended range and increased identification capabilities.
