Vínland is the name the Norse Vikings gave to the rich green lands they finally discovered, after weeks of traveling westward into unknown seas. It was later revealed that they had found America, The New World – long before Columbus ever set his foot there. For us, the name Vínland symbolizes what we look for in our projects: the daunting smell of fruitful pastures and the promise of adventure into new territories.\\Vínland is a small production company based in Oslo, Norway. We strive to develop and produce the projects we truly believe in. We do not distinguish between documentary and fiction, comedy or tragedy, highbrow or lo' brow. We just try to follow our hearts and the intentions of good, talented people.\\We strongly believe in international collaborations, and see this is a key factor to our industry's survival. We especially cherish co-production within the Nordic countries, and one day hope to view the Nordic region as one, common market for film and TV production.\\We are always interested in new people and new projects, so don't be shy and drop us a line!
