WAI Environmental Solutions AS provides solutions for bio-sludge and contaminated soil treatment for municipal, agricultural and industrial sectors. We see sludge as a resource and believe that it should be treated, resources recovered and reused. Recovery of energy and nutrients from sludge in wastewater, anaerobic digesters, animal manure and other bio-sludges is necessary for a truly circular economy.Our solutions for beltdrying of organic sludge and pyrolysis treatment of sludge and contaminated soil have extensive operational experience from various industries. Pyrolysis is considered as one of the best options for bio-sludge volume reduction and energy recovery. Our pyrolysis works at 450-650 °C under an oxygen-starved environment where bio-sludge is converted to liquid fuel, gaseous fuel and biochar. Nutrients like phosphorus are left in biochar that can be used as fertilizer and soil conditioner.Our beltdryer followed by pyrolysis can process a big variety of feed stocks, reducing their volumes and turning organics into reusable fuels and fertilizer.
