Waka is the Maori word for a canoe/boat. The building that is home to the WAKA BAR was originally a fishermens boat house on the sea front in Nice in the late 18th/ early 19th century. The boss is from New Zealand with Maori - Ngati Kuri tribe / Brittish heritage- hence the name ! Open from 10am - 2.30am 7 days a week. The bar on the ground floor serves cocktails, beers, select spirits, wines, fruit smoothies, gourmet coffees & blended specialities. Large seafront balcony on the ground floor, plus, upstairs the Balconies & mezzanine boast some of the best views of the bay of angels in Nice!Food served every day from midday - 11pm !! Fish n chips, burgers, party platters, meat & cheese boards & more to eat in or take away.Dj's at weekends.
