Welcome to the Wake New Hope Fire Department. We are located in North Eastern Wake County, with one station in North East Raleigh, North Carolina & one in unincorporated Wake County, maintaining a Class 4/9E ISO rating for our fire district. Our department consists of a combination of paid and volunteer firefighters that operate out of two stations covering a total of 27 square miles. We provide numerous services to the population including, but not limited to, fire suppression, fire prevention, medical first responder-defibrillation, vehicle extrication, hazardous materials response, and technical rescue. We appreciate your interest in the Wake New Hope Fire Department and hope you visit our site often to learn more about us and the services we provide.Our PurposeThe purpose of the Wake New Hope Fire Department is to provide a range of services designed to protect the lives and property of the inhabitants of the Wake New Hope Fire District from the adverse effects of unfriendly fire, sudden medical emergencies, or exposure to dangerous conditions created by man or nature.What do we do, and what do we have?Station 1 houses Engine 1, Engine 2, Rescue 6, Boat 1 & Tanker 11. Station 1 is located in the heart of Raleigh's Mini-City area, and Engine 1 responds to emergencies within the city limits as the closest engine alongside Raleigh Fire Department Engine Companies 19, 27, 11 & 21. Station 1 also responds to emergencies on Capital Blvd, US HWY 401, & I-540.Station 2 houses Engine 4, Rescue 14, Engine 3, Tanker 10, ATV 31, Brush 7, Tanker 9 & Car 20. Car 2 (Deputy Chief) & Car 3 (Duty Officer) are also stationed at Station 2. Engine 4 is our first out engine, and Rescue 14 is our primary rescue. We frequently respond with Engine 4 to the Roseville High School, and Rescue 14 responds into Wendell, Roseville, Knightdale when requested & onto I-540 as a Rescue Company.
