Walco Events Details
Walco Events is a Sports Events company based in Christchurch. In 2016 we brought the Penrith Panthers to to Christchurch to play the Vodafone Warriors in front of a sold out AMI Stadium. In 2018 we brought the Manly sea Eagles to Christchurch to play the Warriors at AMI Stadium in front of a near capacity attendance. Manly played in a Ngai-Tahu designed jersey and the teams played for the Broadhurst-Shelford Trophy, a trophy deisgned and carved by local master carver, Fayne Robinson. Walco Events manages major sporting events from conception to planning, promotion and marketing and delivery. Walco Events works across all stakeholders to ensure an event benefits the sport, local clubs, fans and the local area via attracting visitors to the region. Each NRL game in Christchurch has attracted more than 5,000 visitors to the region for overnight stays.
