The company was originally formed by Des Walker in 1974 as Walker Engineering then became Walker AEC Ltd in 1994 whilst owned by the Fairmead Group. In 2002 the company came back into private hands again when it was bought by Martyn Walker who currently still owns the business.Today Walker AEC specializes in the manufacture of Landing Gear, Hydraulic and Actuation components, assemblies and sub-assemblies for the aerospace and defence industries, of which in excess of 80% of their sales are for the export market. To compliment this, Walker AEC's sub contract machining services are used throughout the Nuclear, Oil & Gas and Marine industries where safety critical components to exacting tolerances are supplied.With capital investment in 2013/14 at £1.2 million, Walker AEC have invested heavily over the years in machine tools and technology to meet their customers needs and are committed to continue such investment in many years to come.
