The Walloon Lake Trust and Conservancy works with private landowners to preserve and protect the quality of Walloon Lake and its watershed for the benefit of current and future generations. The Conservancy works with conservation tools such as conservation easements, purchasing land, and accepting donations of land to protect woodlands, wetlands, and farmland that contribute to better water quality and recreational opportunities in the Walloon Lake watershed. The watershed lies within the Little Traverse Bay watershed of northwest Michigan, which feeds into Lake Michigan.
