Philanthropy - Conakry, Conakry, Guinea
WANEP, West Africa Network for Peacebuilding, is the West African Network for Peacebuilding created in 1998 in Accra, Ghana, following the scale of conflicts in West Africa. Indeed, several fratricidal wars had been counted and created a climate of hate and tension that paralyzed communities and made them inoperative. In response, the main initiators of WANEP, themselves victims of these crises, became aware of the role of civil society in the cooperative construction of peace. The WANEP-Guinea network is the national network member of the West African Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP). Created in 2003, it works in the field of prevention, conflict management and peacebuilding in Guinea.
