Starting out as a small, local newsletter in 1970, the Warrandyte Diary has grown to become a lively, monthly newspaper at the heart and soul of the Warrandyte community in north-east Melbourne.Affectionately known by its contributors and locals as the Diary, the newspaper has maintained its strong community character over the years, documenting greater Warrandyte region's tragedies, triumphs and hidden stories.Our reporters break local news and cover North Warrandyte, South Warrandyte, Park Orchards, Wonga Park, Warranwood, Kangaroo Ground and Research.Loved for its regular columns, features, cartoons and sports updates, the Diary strives to tell the inspiring and entertaining stories of the locals who make Warrandyte unique.With a monthly circulation of 4000 and a fast-growing online readership with our digital edition, the Diary is mostly produced by local volunteers with one aim: to serve their community.It fiercely guards its not-for-profit status and independent voice, carrying a strong editorial bias towards the people, environment and the character of the place it serves.
