Primary/secondary Education - Coventry, England, United Kingdom
Students from disadvantaged backgrounds are under-represented at universities and Educational inequality is a serious issue across the U.K. We are a growing society and a scheme of volunteers inspiring change and tackling educational inequality. The volunteer programme we run at the University of Warwick, provides students the opportunity to plan and deliver lessons to secondary students regarding Higher Education. Every year we as students, go into schools across Coventry / Warwickshire to run and deliver engaging workshops for students about Higher Education, alongside allowing them to ask us questions about what University is all about. In our workshops, Inspire aims to increase the aspirations and understanding of Higher Education for students in an interactive and informative way. We work within small teams who, with training, plan and deliver these workshops alongside being part of a wider interactive Inspire community with socials, fundraising and informative events throughout the year.
