Mission: The WAC was founded in 1916 to encourage the healthful enjoyment of the great outdoors, to preserve its natural beauty, and to promote good fellowship among all lovers of nature.We offer members a wide variety of classes, conservation, service, leadership, fun, and fellowship opportunities. Small and intimate, grassroots, community based, with a ridiculously inexpensive membership fee, we've always been, and still are 100% volunteers and people just like you!Washington Alpine Club is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization, and your contributions are tax deductible to the extent of the law. We are focused on making the best use of every dollar donated to the WAC mission.
