The Washington County Chamber of Commerce, located in Plymouth,NC, is a "non-partisan, non-sectional, and non-sectarian" nonprofit organization with the main objectives to "develop, encourage, promote and protect the commercial, agricultural, professional, financial, general business, and residential interest of Washington County". The County has roughly 13,000 citizens and its main industry is agriculture. Our cash crops include corn, wheat, soybeans, and cotton. Also, we have strong roots in forestry and wood manufacturing and commercial fishing. There is also great potential in tourism and leisure markets related to watersports, ecotourism, and heritage tourism.
