Formed in 1987, and originally named Recycling Advocates, Waste-Free Advocates is Oregon's oldest citizen-based, grassroots group dedicated to engaging people in creating a sustainable future through local efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle.The organization is run by an elected Board of Directors comprised of solid waste professionals, policy activists, local business people and dedicated volunteers who have an interest in promoting recycling and waste reduction.
