The Watch the Block mobile application aims to help build healthier relationships between police officers and the communities they are tasked with protecting. The app collects real-time data and grants users the ability to rate the quality of an interaction with a police officer. Once submitted, the ratings are assigned to the precinct responsible for policing the geographical area where the interaction occurred. The ratings accumulated by each individual precinct are referred to as the precinct's Community Satisfaction Score (CSS).
