We R Seattle is an all-volunteer organizing group that formed from a larger group of concerned Seattleites. Their work on this initiative is supported by a network of community organizers, facilitators, businesses, organizations, groups, partners, and, most importantly, the individual voices of Seattle.We are bringing people together throughout Seattle—from border to border — to set priorities and identify potential solutions that will address today's crises. We will engage people at all levels—from leaders representing a wide-range of neighborhood, affinity, and community groups, to voices that are rarely, if ever, heard from. By bringing people from every neighborhood in Seattle into this effort—the plan that emerges will have broad public support that is critical to overcoming the politics of division. With wide agreement over priorities and possible solutions, we have the opportunity to turn a shared vision into reality. Our Seattle.
